FAQ
What does your olive oil taste like?Â
Our cold-pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil takes after the motto of the Abruzzo region: forte e gentile. Strong and gentle. Unfiltered, peppery, yet silky smooth. It’s a combination that means you can use it for everything; your focaccia recipe or drizzled over sea salt gelato, anything goes.
What varieties of olives are used to make the olive oil?
Our extra virgin olive oil is made from Leccino, Gentile, Muraiola and Peranzana varieties.
Why do you harvest olives in October?
We harvest our olives early in the season when they are at their most antioxidants and full of polyphenols, the anti-inflammatory plant compound that supports heart, gut and brain health.
Can I cook with olive oil?
Yes, of course. Because of its antioxidants, you can cook with olive oil. In fact, extra virgin olive oil is the healthiest fat to cook with. And we Mediterranean people don't know how to cook any differently than with olive oil 😉.
How long does a tin last?
A 500ml tin usually lasts about a month if you’re using a little every day - for cooking, salads, finishing dishes, the lot.
The aluminium tin and tight lid protect the oil from light and air, which helps keep it fresh and stable for longer than a clear glass bottle.
Once opened, we recommend using it within 3-4 months for the best flavour.
